Firmware Problems
The firmware chip on the mainboard of the PSP has become
corrupt, preventing it from working, often termed as
"bricked".
This problem can easily occur in
one of two ways:
1) if a user attempts to install
custom firmware (for playing backups,ISO or eboots from
the memory stick) and fails to install the firmware
software properly.
2) During a routine firmware update the PSP loses
power due to low battery or mains cable being removed.
